    Mine totally does this too. I think the cats have figured out that 'muuu-uum' gets the fastest response from me because I'll always jump up to see which child wants me (and then discover its the cat asking for food).

    DS at 20 months still only grunts when he wants my attention. He knows I am mum as he can say it, he just prefers "eeehhhehhhhhhh"
