    Default Just wanted to share.

    Starting weight was 89kg...i felt utterly disgusting...im only 165cm tall.

    I decided that i was going to do the whole chiche thing of 'new years resolution to lose weight'.

    Well, one month in (officially) and ive lost 4kg. All up (from about 4 months ago), ive lost 6kg!!
    My size 14 shorts are actually loose on me

    Bottom line is...6 kgs is a third of the way to my major goal of 73kg (wedding weight) and 3kgs away from my mini goal of under 80kg.

    Another kg down so 7 all up. Wow thats nearly 10 kg!!
    Thanks all. Im super proud of myself.

    I asked a friend of mine whos a dietician to give me some pointers. She suggested the 5:2 diet. She said she doesnt recommend it for everyone suggested it for me as she knows my history...medications/lifestyle etc.

    I have been doing it for 5 weeks now and am losing about 1kg per week.

    The first fasting day was sooooo hard...i mean EVERYTHING/ONE i looked at reminded me of food. I was ready to eat my own arm!!! I got through it by reminding myself WHY im doing it!! The second day was also pretty hard, but ever so slightly easier. Again i kept reminding myself WHY im doing it.

    Now, 5 weeks in and i actually look forward to my fasting days...especially if ive had a big one the day before. Last week i was going to fast on Wed but got invited out for afternoon tea and knew it wouldnt work so i did it Thurs. I also went to the movies of Sat (normally my fasting day) and wanted to have popcorn so i did it Sunday. This was huge for me because i work on Sundays...i work in a kitchen so am surrounded by food but i DID IT!!!

    I think the biggest thing for me was getting used to the idea of feeling hungry. To be honest i was actually afraid of feeling hungry...now i actually like it.

    On my non-fasting days i eat normal...i even had KFC today for lunch. I had a wrap and a snack box. I had toast for breakfast and thats all so far. Im on around 1700-1900 cals on my non-fasting days. I dont count on these days. I worked it out once (after eating what i wanted all day) just to see and i came in at just over 1000cals.

    Im finding my thought about food is changing, i eat when im hungry and im aware of what im eating. Making better choices. Biggest thing is im sticking to it. Im only on a diet 2 days per week...i eat normally ever other day!!!
