Certainly A! You deserve a night out. Happy birthday if your parents were not up for it they wouldn't have offered.

Thank you all you make me feel more confident in my choice to leave dd for the night
The only reason I really hesitate is because mum can't even put dd down for a nap when babysitting as she's far too soft (ie asks if dd wants to go to bed instead of telling her it's time for bed bed lol) so I know they won't sleep
But I just told my inlaws I'm sending dd for the night to my parents... MIL said "but wouldn't it be better for dd to stay at home?" I said "well I want to sleep past 6am for once and I won't have to get up to look after her" (hint hint) and MIL replied "oh ok then".
So that solves it if dd is tired and cranky at least I should be refreshed enough to deal with it

It's important to build the bond with your parents too. Even if she stays up playing all night the world won't end

Little bit of both.
Leave DD at home with MIL but then you go and sleep at your parents so you can sleep in😂

A!! It's one night - enjoy and happy birthday! You never know she may go down easily... I know my kids are always exhausted after a day with their grandparents!
