Can I please join? I need a few *** kicking months as spending lately has been crazy and we are currently saving to buy some property. The only big spending this month is going to be Chinese takeout for Valentine's Day.

as this appears to be a challenge of some type - I was wondering if you girls would like me to move it to the 'monthly challenge' section?

then it wont get lost in general chat?

Can I join too?! I'm already very frugal (by necessity), but I can always use some tips to cut back more..

Also, I'm dating someone and I'd really like to do something nice (and free!) for him for valentines day...

    Today I brought nothing lol
After an outing this morning I was tempted to hit the shops and enjoy a nice cold energy drink while bub napped :/ think I'm addicted lol

    Just did the maths, at 1 a week 2.50 a pop that's 130$ a year!
Christ Rhys almost a fortnight grocery shopping, never done the maths before it's just been oh it's only 2.50 lol

Today I spent $99 on school uniforms for one child and still need to buy new uniforms for the other. One school wants $75 for books and the other $60. Rego is due in a couple of weeks... I think February won't be partically frugal after all.

Well I used the cream I had to make a cream cake, spaghetti carbonara and butter. I also used egg whites left over from the carbonara to make mini meringues.

My fussy meat and three veg kids won't touch the carbonara (although I'm not a fan of creamy sauces either) so now I've got a mountain of carbonara to give to a friend. Gah!
