It's nice to see lots of posts like this about Mums NOT wanting there kids to go back to school ...Most of the time it's the opposite them not liking there kids at home and can't wait to get rid of them.....
Me I love school holidays I love having them at home ...yes the house it noiser. ..messier....They fight at times but it's great that's what kids do....so not looking forward to them going back at all.....

I'm really not looking forward to school going back either! I love holidays. No rushing to get ready, sleep ins if we want, don't have to have lunches and uniforms ready plus I just love spending time with my girlies going to the beach, riding, park and all cruisey things

I flip flop between wanting the holidays to be longer and enjoying them, and wanting school to start because I'm tired and the kids are reaching the point of needing school again.
And I second book covers being a wondrous creation (especially for people like me who cannot contact to save themselves).

I don't want my DD to go back either. It's heaps more relaxed less routiney with her home, I am liking it or getting used to her being around all the tine again. Feels more holiday vibes. I don't want to start making lunchboxes again and uniform washes, pickups and early morning drop offs, going through her bag each evening.

I'm not ready for school to start. It's DS1's first year and I'm pretending I'm excited because he is but really I am sad because everything will change. We haven't done heaps this summer due to finances but we went to the pools every day last week for swimming lessons which was a nice change. Hopefully we'll be able to fit in some baking and small adventures before he starts.
