Default Do you have a cleaner?

    I'm wondering:

    - how often they come?
    - how long they come for?
    - how much they charge?
    - how did you find them?
    - what do they do?

    TIA

Yes she comes once a fortnight. $140 for 4 hours but brings her own equipment and cleaning supplies. Does a general tidy, dusting etc plus big things like bathrooms and floors (the main reason I have her is to do the time consuming tasks).

Previously she accidentally broke a collectible item in our theatre room so now just doesn't go into that room at all. When this happened I actually changed cleaners but the others I tried were hopeless (were through Absolute Domestics agency) so I quickly reverted back to my thorough if what clumsy cleaner!

    - how often they come? Once a week

    - how long they come for? 2 cleaners (husband and wife) they stay for about an hour

    - how much they charge? $40 (price has not changed in 5 years)

    - how did you find them? Local newspaper

    - what do they do? Dust, clean bathroom and kitchen, vacuum floors, mop floors

Our house is a 3 x 1 so the 2 cleaners can get it done in under an hour. They have never missed a days work and when they can't make it they send their daughter.

I don't have a cleaner, but i have a question in relation to this topic......

Does the cleaner come whilst you are at home? Do you find it at all awkward? I've thought about maybe hiring one for a couple of hours a week, but I'd feel really weird about someone cleaning my house whilst I'm there and able to do it myself, yet also wouldn't trust someone to just enter the house unsupervised either!

My cleaner comes 3 hours once a fortnight.

She tidies, does dishes and cleans kitchen if required. Does all floors and wet areas. Changes sheets, dusting etc.

she brings her own gear and charges 25/hour.

We found her through a family member.

i tend to let her in and then disappear with the kids, otherwise they follow her around chatting and distracting her!

My cleaner used to come once a week for the last 5 years but recently we have dropped it back to once a month.

When it was weekly she could clean for 2-3 hours depending on what needing doing, sometimes more or less. Now it's 3-4 hours.

We paid her $60 a week regardless of hours we have always paid her even if she couldn't work (which was only a few times a year!) she's so cheap and is simply amazing.

    Found through a friend.

Cleaned everything! Washing, ironing, floors, bathroom, change sheets ect. If she finishes early she even put something in the slow cooker for dinner!!!!

I stayed home the first few times.. But then I got to know her so left once she was in and came back when she was done. Was so awkward sitting there when she cleaned.
Now I trust her a lot so leave a key for her.
