    Default Gift idea for a very ill teenager??

    We have a family member who is very sick atm... he will be spending the next year of his life in icu..
    I want to get him something but i have no idea what. Any ideas would be greatly appriciated.
    -hes 13
    -right now he cant move his body at all.
    -he wont be able to do anything active in a long time let alone leave the hospital.

    Oh thats awful.. how terribly sad.

    what about a portable dvd player and movies ppl can put on for him?
    Ipod?

    The new childrens hospital is amazing and he has a tv with usb ports so movies should be easy.

    Do they charge for movies on the TV? Because I know they used to?
    Will he be able to move his arms etc? As maybe some games on a ps vita or DS or something might be awesome? Does he like reading? A Kindle with vouchers.... You could get a group together of friends to put money in to get something like that?
    If he has an ipad you could get iTunes voucher?

    I was thinking i would buy him a star.. just because its going to be very touch and go for quite a while...
