Sitting in the hot garage with df while he works on his car. Meanwhile there is a beautifully air conditioned house right through the door behind me.

All in the name of togetherness.

(I am doing it begrudgingly, not because I want to!)

Stupidly mentioned to someone that DD is getting an award at school, she's just started Prep. I don't know what the award is for, the school only publish the list so parents can go and watch.

I'm not stupid, I don't think she's a genius in hiding and it's possible that it's because her name is up the start of the alphabet.

But to have someone tell me what a load of crap and they give out awards far too willy nilly these days really ****ed me off. If it was their kid the whole freaking family would have the day off work to attend at 3.15!

Still teary after getting this text from my mum this morning.... it comes after she messaged me yesterday morning asking me to come over (which she has never ever done).... she had had hit rock bottom and barely left her bed in a week.

To my amazingly wonderful daughter and son-in-law-and-love
Ive been trying so hard to come up with the right words to say but THANK YOU is all ive got (It doesnt seem enough but will have to do). For the money obviously but for so much more. I woke up this morning feeling the best ive felt in so long (Bubble i almost could have even shaved my legs. Almost) and it took a moment to work out that its due to the love support and caring i have from my family. I lose sight of this sometimes and you two gorgeous kids have reminded me in many many ways. I truly am a very lucky nutcase.
With all my love hugest of hugs and sloppiest of kisses, mum xxxxxxxx

Just about finished mopping then I need to clean out the car and put all the kids school notes into some sort of order. It's ridiculous the amount of paperwork that has already come home this term! I'm really trying to be more organised this year.

    Yes, what?!
Df had a mate stay last night and it just throws everything out of whack- not to mention I couldn't spend half if my Saturday lazing around sans bra like I normally would!
