    I know someone was asking about sewing machines a while back, Spotlight have this one on special at the moment, $249 down to $99, I have it and it's really good if you don't want to make a big investment in a sewing machine

    @JR03 have you found the EL2000 okay with heavier fabrics or multiple layers?

    Multiple layers, yes it's fine, but the heaviest I have sewn with is corduroy, it went fine with that.

    Yes! Super easy. This is the stuff I started with & made all of the ones above in just a couple of nights while DD1 was in bed. It's the Tadah seaside romper pattern, and comes with a detailed tutorial with pictures that are easy to follow

    Default Show me your sewing!

    Not a huge amount of sewing as such but did a fabric covered shelf for the bassinet just for essential bits and pieces! Quite chuffed with myself at 38wks preg lol IMG_1483878481.144856.jpg

    Eta: ahhh cr@p..photo quality never turns out good on here??

    Great idea! I have a similar bassinet & never thought to put a shelf there!

    I have recently started sewing, as my Grandfather gave me all my Grandmother's dressmaking accessories.

    I made this Christmas nightie and shorts for my kids for Christmas. I also made giant Christmas faux fur stockings.

    I have to admit though, I'm not a big fan of patterns- is that normal?
