So, my 20 month old Benjamin has ear issues. I took him to GP after GP for almost an entire year with constand ear tugging and head bashing issues to get continuously told they were just waxy and a little red but they'd be fine, only to finally go to an ear specialist and be told he had severe glue ear and enlarged adenoids and he needed immediate surgery.
So, my trust of GP's when it comes to Ben's ears is basically Nil. His surgery was done in November and was very successful. He could finally hear and his development has come along in leaps and bounds ever since. Unfortunately, in the last few weeks he's begun tugging at his ears again, and it is quite obvious to me, that there is an issue here. I rung the specialist clinic to make an appointment just now and was basically made to feel like an idiot... why not just take him to the GP? Umm.... Because I took him to a billion different GP's for over a year and got no help whatsoever?! THat's why.
So I NEED a good GP. One that I know will help me with his ears, one that I can trust and take him to when he's having issues. Please help me.

PLEASE help me find a good GP in Brisbane. Preferably in Redlands.

It isn't in Redlands but I figured I'd share anyway in case you don't find another one closer.
Dr Allison Pilkington and Dr Kate McDonald at Springwood Group General Practice. They don't bulk bill adults but do young kids (not sure what age they stop bulk billing as my ds is two and they still do for him).
They have both been fantastic with ds since we started going there before his first birthday.
I've taken DS a number of times to get checked out as I wasn't sure if he just had a cold or if he had ear infection (he's had them in the past and not told us they were sore or anything and were only found coincidentally when they were quite bad so now I'm over cautious) or it had gone to his chest etc.
Allison is always thorough and understanding and explains things so I know what's going on.
Kate is great too but I haven't seen her of late as she's only recently come back from extended leave.
Honestly all of the drs I've seen at the practice have been great except one (think his name was ross) whom I won't see again.

thank you! It's further than I'd like to have to go, but if I can't find someone I can trust closer I'm willing to travel a bit further, and maybe your recommendation could be helpful to someone who lives in your area too so thanks. I'll definitely keep them in mind!

Yes, thank you! I ended up seeing a great doctor at the Cleveland Family Clinic. He actually seemed to have a clue about ears and what was going on with Ben's and didn't try to make out like he was just a kid with normal ears getting normal ear infections. Very relieved
