Billie2. Does it work like Puregon? I wonder how they decide which one to prescribe?

Any experiences with Primary Ivf?
@VickyP I was on both. Puregon was my top up after a week on Elonva. Elonva was 1 injection that lasted (bahahahaha) a whole week(bullsh*t). Then you top up on Puregon. Next round I am on Puregon 250 right from the start. No idea how they decide on drugs. This time Im on centrotide instead of Orgalutran. My belly was completely deflated & no pain by the time I hit EPU. I felt it wasnt right. Ive had way more pain on clomid. I guess we dont know what the blood tests are indicating at our monitor appts.
I am up this late covering school books in contact. May you all be blessed in covering hundreds of books in contact over the next 10 years!

LOL! You are so funny @Billie2! One of those inevitable mommy duties huh...
1 jab for the whole week?! Sounds too good to be true! I guess we all know our bodies best and can sense when things are right or wrong. Sounds like you are on the same meds now - Puregon and Cetrotide. Maybe these 2 give more consistent results. In any case, it's all happening now for you now! Woohoo! I'm sure this cycle will make all the difference!
I didn't have much pain - the "pain" and "soreness" came more from the jab sites than the meds. Just nausea from Puregon (which I think is not common), some rash looking redness from Cetrotide (from jab) and maybe some overall bloatedness.
Oh well, I did my trigger last night at 1am (I triple checked the steps wanting to make sure I didn't miss anything from being sleepy) and I am pretty sure we did what it said. So yay to the jab free day and fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Ps: @LillyM - the good thing about doing it first thing in the morning is that you don't have to fast for 6 hours consciously. No food and drinks for me until after and I think I'll suffer caffeine withdrawal syndromes. Lol.

I got the itchy redness around the injection area after cetrotide. I think its because its an acetate based injection whereas the puregon is water based, so its like injecting diluted acid. I've heard its a normal reaction @VickyP.
Happy dancing for u for u and LillyM right now!!!!yay to needle free day!
It is strange isn't it @Billie2 that no one is on elonva since u and Dany. Or maybe they are but just not on here.. Hahaha..Its good if they've stopped prescribing it because it clearly isn't as effective as the puregon from the start.
No doubt u will get better results this cycle and have a few icey poles as backup ;D

Lol! Yeah true about the fasting part! I guess I got lucky on that one...
Well done on the trigger in the middle of the night - gotta have your eyes wild open ahah
Today is "nothing" day, feels weird... already feeling hopeless with 1 day waiting, still wondering how I'm gonna handle the freakin 2WW! Daaammmn!

@tjuls - yup, probably from the acetate. Nurse Karina said it was common, but I hadn't known and I don't remember reading on anyone having the same thing so I decided to ask the nurses but it was more about the annoying nausea that spooked me.
@LillyM - yay! Happy dance. I'm just telling myself that I've done my best. Followed all the instructions, tried not to whine too much and now just gotta go with the flow of things. Happy no-jab day to us both!
DH was a trooper. Hopped right out of bed and into action when the alarm went off. The only problem was that we couldn't find the dot to get rid of the air bubble at first - maybe we were too sleepy (the dot looked like the dash!) so we had to wind the dosage dial back and look for it 2 times. Unlike the Puregon pen, this one could dial backwards, and I checked after - liquid all went in and dial read zero. Seems like it's a 36-hr wait for it to work.
@LillyM - are you stocking up on coconut water and Gatorade too?
Oh, and just wondering for those who've been through the next step. Do you get more meds after EPU? Something for the uteral lining? Crione or something?

Was actually wondering about the added value of coconut water and Gatorade? What exactly is it for? And when is the best moment to have them?
Also I have those Hydralyte electrolyte powder tabs, the ones u take for gastro for example... was wondering if those wd be able to help too?
Looking forward to interesting inputs from experienced ladies...

@VickyP after EPU you will go to the chemist downstairs & stock up on crinone. Its not that bad at all. Twice a day up the vijayjay.
@LillyM must be for electrolytes. I don't know, just read others doing it. I didn't use it as my response was poor, so I didn't have any bloating issues etc. I was drinking 3+ litres of water with lemon (for flavour) a day. I lost a few kg's first round. Alcohol and caffeine free helped! Raspberry leaf tea helps with lining Ive also read. I don't know, theres alot of info out there and I like to keep it simple and have blinkers on to the 'experienced' info. I don't want to get too familiar with IVF.
How are the PUPO's?
Just had my CD1 BT. I don't have any cycle buddy 😔

Thanks @Billie2 - no jabs is bonus! Haha. Don't worry about having no cycle buddies - we will be your cheerleaders! You go girl!
Not sure what to expect after the EPU tomorrow - heard that for some, it hurts, so I am a bit apprehensive. Hot pack on standby and I think coconut water will help so I don't mind having some on hand. I haven't done much extras - no acu, no special anything, just normal Elevit which I have been taking since 6 months ago - hoping that my body will be strong enough for round #1 naturally.
Now gotta tell the boss about leave tomorrow - he doesn't seem to have time yet for me! Argh.

@VickyP its nerve racking to wait in the blue scrubs, but it happens so so quick before you know it you will be waking up in recovery all dazed but happy. I loved that part. I felt like a scared rabbit in headlights jumping up on the theatre bed with a room full of people, but once you start counting you're knocked out and its done. We all react differently, and I am sure you will be sweet. Id never been under before and not worried one bit to go back. I was 100% fine the following morning up at 6am. But others are more tender and need rest.
