We got a Christmas party with partners and most staff get a Christmas bonus of up to $500 (depending on tenure) but because I get a performance bonus, I don't get a Christmas bonus which is fair enough. My manager and I always exchange gifts, she forgot my gift on the last day but told me its a Myer voucher so I'll get it tomorrow when I return after my annual leave.

Nothing, and the GM cancelled the customary Xmas party. Instead we got a crappy 1/2 hour morning tea where the food ran out after 10 min, and he gave a speech about how much money we're losing. (Meanwhile, we can't figure out how we're in the red by so much- have to wonder if there is some dodgy corporate cost-shifting going on.) Either way, it was not conducive to a merry atmosphere!

DH is permanent part time. He got nada. Been with the company 5 years this month, never got anything for xmas. It annoys me as the parent company is huge and making big money.

    Stingy jerks

I work for a fairly large national company but there are under 15 of us in my state so our state bosses took us & partners for a night away including dinner, drinks & breakfast it was amazing!
The year before we had a end of year dinner at a nice restaurant & they let us pick out of a turkey, ham or beer as a gift as well
