We have to travel and hour and a bit to get to out nearest Costco so we go every couple of months. I buy all my toilet paper and dishwasher tablets in bulk. It always works out cheaper. Last time we went we bought a whole heap of meat and a bulk pack of washing detergent. I think its worth getting a membership.

So just quickly, I think it's worth the membership for the (apparent) lifetime warranty on all electrical goods there. But I get cat litter, flour, etc. I'll end up getting a lot more when I have more storage space though.

You can occasionally get a really good deal on electrical items there. When they first opened, I bought a heavy duty KitchenAid mixer for $599. The same model at the time was somewhere around $900 in normal stores.

Consider too, whether or not you have the space to store things. I live 5 minutes drive, from my nearest store so I can justify popping in for just 2-3 items (especially if I go on a weekday when there are no crowds). But if you have to drive a significant distance, you will want to make it worth your while - but that means that you will need the space to put everything!

Lucky for me I have some good deep cupboards at home so I don't go often but I sure make it worth my while when I do! I'm sure a I save some but I also am a big fav of the convenience of just knowing I have everything in the cupboard. Big fan of bulk cleaning products, laundry powder, toilet paper, tissues, toothpaste ect just everything! Not so much the frozen as I don't have the space wish I had a deep freezer just for this!

If you pay attention when you do your weekly shops it's easy to tell a bargain or not. There's not a lot of brand choice but what they stock I would most likely buy anyway so win win.

Has anyone checked out the alcohol prices? Not sure if they are bargains or not?

Can anyone tell I'm a fan haha

Yep - Johnny Walker was about $20 cheaper than Dan Murphy's, I've found champagne is also cheaper - Moet was $44 and Mumm was $36 and Bollinger was $49
