Sorry you had a bad experience with LB and you are definitely entitled to your opinion but every case and circumstance is different. A lot
of people on this thread have been with other fs who did the bare minimum and are now seeking another experienced specialist that would look at them with fresh eyes. So her knowledge of new procedures and drugs have come as a blessing. Sorry that didn't work for you. I came from another clinic with a fs who was happy for us to just pump out money for cycle after cycle without any testing and no changes in protocol so when we moved to LB and she actually did testing and procedures to find out what issues we had it was a breathe of fresh air. I thank her for giving us our DS. We were a bit of a difficult case but were lucky that the other drugs she gave me was the key to getting us over the line.
Glad you found a fs you were happy with and Wish you all the best with your pregnancy.
For others in this thread still trying please don't be disheartened. You are your own advocate if you feel uncomfortable and unhappy with how you are feeling with your specialist and not by the experience of others than move on.
    Baby dust to all.

Default Lynn Burmeister Monash IVF-feedback wanted please #5

    ^this^

Totally agree. We had great luck with Lynn. I think people forget she is human. She cannot and does not guarantee that everyone will get their take home bub.

I found her testing to be relevant and comprehensive. For example, she rushed DHs samples to ensure she didn't cut into me (lap / hysto) unnecessarily. She also was quick to reduce my dosage of puregon when I turned into an egg factory.

For those in the thick of it, don't be discouraged.

Everyone is totally entitled to their own opinion, however, Lynn has been fantastic in my case- if it wasn't for her being meticulous and performing a seemingly 'unneeded' procedure in other people's eyes, we wouldn't have discovered that I had early stage ovarian cancer- something that didn't show up on any of the scans or bloods. If this wasn't found at this stage and I went straight into IVF the drugs would have accelerated the growth of the cancer.. And who knows where I'd be now! She was so supportive throughout the whole process, referred me to the top oncologist with a next day appointment, and continued to follow up with me. Today I am now cancer free and looking forward to starting a family soon- forever in her debt!!

She met my sister maybe twice... They ran into each other in the lift and she remembered my sisters name looked at her stims and recommended a dose change which the nurse rang about that day. My sister was my egg donor.

I'm another believer in lynn, I was with another clinic (1 fresh cycle and 4 FET which didn't work).
I knew there had to be someone else out there - so randomly searching I came across this thread and decided to switch clinics (pre sonia k baby announcement where lynn had more time for her patients)
No one is perfect and I did end up in hospital for a week for OHSS but 2/2 FET were BFPs (first one ended in m/c at 6 weeks) and currently 32 weeks pregnant!

I know a lot of girls are finding lynn has taken too much on lately (and I too felt a little neglected after my m/c) but you have to trust the Dr you've chosen, otherwise it's time to move on to someone else.

MND, what is the pregnyl booster for? Is it for lining? LB never mentioned it to me. But I'm wondering if I should use it for my transfer.
