I know how you feel. I'm in a motel room in a place I have never been before while DF spends Christmas with his daughter. We are having our own Christmas when we get home, but still makes it a little hard today

Why aren't you out spending it with them?

Yep I'm alone at home with the kids, had the blinds pulled most of the day watching bad movies. Neighbours have an awesome set up and friends/family around, I feel sad for my kids that they are missing out on a big celebration I spent the morning helping now x-DP packing his things. I just want to crawl into a ball and go to sleep and never wake up

Oh goodness i was wondering what happened with you ST. Are you feeling ok? Dont feel like you want to never wake up! You are doing what you feel is best and being the best mum you can be.

Its awful isnt it. My whole life i have dreamed of having a real family Christmas where everyone gets together for lunch or dinner. I always end up alone. The curse of split familys! This year with DF being deployed was even harder, at least if he was home we would go out to the beach or something. When im alone im a depressed hermit. Sitting on my balcony now to try and catch a hint of fresh air for the day..lol

He has wrecked every special occasion this year by going out drinking or smoking weed. Enough is enough. I'd rather be alone and focus my energy on my babies! Enjoy the sunshine x

Yep, alone with the kids as per usual. It actually doesn't bother me though, i can see the upsides to not having to do all the normal family stuff.
The kids are content playing with their new presents and i knocked about 6 loads of washing over today- so all in all, twas a pretty good and productive day.
