Default Low lying placenta at 34 weeks???

Just wondering if anyone out has had a posteria placenta move enough for a vb after a 34week scan?? Mine was still low lying at 34 weeks I'm booked in for c/s at 39 weeks but will be getting placenta checked at 38 weeks so just hoping some girls out there may have some great positive outcome stories for me

My placenta moved just enough (was 13mm from os) by 38 week scan & I was able to convince dr's to let me trial a (successful)vb. Good luck!

So your placenta was 13mm away at 38 weeks and they let you trial vb and all was good?
May I ask if it moved much from before your 38 week scan?
Mine was 10mm away at 28 weeks then 12mm away at 34 weeks and I am getting scanned at 38weeks hoping to have it at least 20mm away

Yep, around 38 weeks they re-scanned & it was 13mm away. At 20 weeks it reached but not covered the os & I cant remember what it was at 32 weeks. Vb was fine but i bled a lot afterwards due to retained placenta (unrelated as I also had retained placenta with second birth & no P.P. that time. I went public & was lucky that I got a pro VB ob. I took her a few journal articles that I had researched showing the safety of Vb when the placenta is 10-20mm from the os. If you were interested in having a read of them I could try to find them & email them to you.

    Hi Shawboy,

I have finally had a chance to look for those articles. I'm sorry it has taken so long but christmas was a little crazy! I noticed that your email address has been deleted so I have put them in a dropbox file and you should be able to access and download them. Please let me know if it doesn't work.

    All the best.
