Family member calls & says that most of them are getting to the gathering on xmas eve at 6.30pm. When we told him that is ds's bedtime he just said 'oh well, sometimes you just have to go out anyway'.
I dont have a problem with going out in the evening, I just dont see the point in arriving at ds's bedtime - everyone will want to pass him around etc & he'll be cracking up.
So I just said we're arriving at 5/5.30 & if not many other people are there yet then too bad!

With all the last minute shopping and DS being extra clingy, housework has been last on my list. DP informs me this morning as he is walking out the door that DS godparents will be over this evening.
Not only is the house a bomb (and their house is immaculate) but I don't have a gift for them nor do I have a clue what to get them!
No wonder I've been a mess the last couple of days. Feel free to pass on any gift ideas people!
