We don't wrap stuff in the Santa stocking. As a child I loved running up to the stocking and seeing the gifts sprawling out of the top, unwrapped, so I do the same for my kids. Presents from family all get wrapped and kept under the tree.

We follow the tradition i was raised with...Unwrapped in santa sacks.
Apparently my parents used to wrap, and one year they forgot to hide "Santas wrapping paper", or ran out, and used the same as under the tree... something like that...I Forget how the story went...but anyway... My older brother at about 4 or 5 asked why they were in the same paper if they were from santa. Since then, its always been unwrapped to save having to have different paper, or getting caught
Everything else is wrapped and under the tree though. As are all gifts to/from family and friends.
I just say santa is too busy to wrap

Thanks everyone. I decided to do a mix and wrap the larger gifts and then leave the smaller ones unwrapped. I still think it's nice for the kids to unwrap their gifts as that's half the fun. I don't wrap things for the stockings as they are generally pretty small.

Santa wraps in our house (to prolong the excitement). He wraps in brown paper and ties them with string
