First time I flew with my 2 year old I want prepared. I didn't have enough snacks or entertainment. Ipad/tablet was a relief to use....bit be prepared that he might be jumping all over you. My son disnt like being restrained then. We had an 8 hour flight....sometimes he cried sometimes he was jumping all over us....and sometimes he was walking up and down the aisles....and no you know what? As long as it wasn't during food service I didn't care. We tried our best to keep him out of everyone's way but sometimes we just had to let him have a whinge because not everything always worked. What's my point? Just be prepared with a lot of different activities and snacks so he doesn't get bored.

Oh just another thought? How old is bub and weight? Check with the airline if they have bassinet seats. There's more leg room ( we let dd play infront) and if they fall asleep they can sleep in the bassinet

You'll be fine though I'm sure we can all relate to the anxiety there is when you're travelling with a toddler. I've never been a nervous flyer, but since I've become a Mum, I am a lot more anxious about flying and more risk adverse then I've ever been.

Ok we did it!
He hated take off and we had to enter via the rear stairs (walking across the tarmac) and the noise freaked him out. Otherwise he was quite happy to play with blu tak the whole time. The change in pressure didn't seem to bother him at all.
He didn't like the bumpy part through the clouds when we landed but other than that it was all pretty good.
