Default Why Can't I Have Hot Dogs?

Is it because of a listeria risk or something else? I'm talking about the Wendy's ones by the way. I can't find a definitive answer on Google.

Yep - apart from being gross and containing additives, preservatives, nitrates and most likely mystery meat - if they are not served steaming hot ( which if they were hanging around a fast food joint all day is highly unlikely) then they , as is any processed meat ,are a listeria risk

I have no idea what is in hot dogs exactly, but I love them.

The hot dogs at Wendy's and the like are put in the water first thing when they open & stay there all day. They're not kept at a hot enough temperature for them to be safe for pregnant women.

When I was pregnant & REALLY wanted a hot dog I would buy them at Woolies & boil the cr*p out of them at home

If you want it, have it. If it's not worth it then make one at home.
