I wouldn't normally subscribe to acupuncture but I've been where you are twice and I figure anything is worth a shot!
I also arranged to go out with DH to a restaurant that does the most AMAZING deserts. (If the baby hasn't come by X day then we are going out and I'm going to have this *points to oversized pudding floating in a bowl of syrup with various rich garnishes*.)
I'd also advocate walking, bouncing on a fit ball as well as taking time to relax. There is evidence that labour will start when the baby believes they are in the safest environment.
S*x is also good as sp3rm has (I can't remember the proper name) something in it that is proven to soften the cervix. I have to say the last thing I felt like doing was having s*x when I was 9.5 months pregnant but apparently it works for others!!

Nothing worked for me
I used EPO internally and orally from 36 weeks. Drank 5 boxes of raspberry lead tea. Walked. Did the deed. Expressed colostrum three times a day from 37 weeks. Acupuncture. Acupressure. Pineapple. Had hot baths with clary sage oil, performing nipple stimulation whilst Visualising my cervix opening like a rose. None of it worked. I got STRONG BH with the acupuncture, acupressure, clary sage and nipple stimulation, I had 4 days of stop start pre labour but I had to be medically induced 10 days overdue with ARM and syntocinon and she ended up being a ventouse delivery. Sorry

Ask for a stretch and sweep as sounds like your body is almost ready so it's likely to work. Try one every couple of days until your induction date. This is what my midwife did and third one worked a treat. I was also doing all the natural methods but wasn't working
