Ok so this might be long I'll try and give the short version. I found out I was pregnant about 4 weeks ago. Very happy and excited as we have been trying for over 2 years and have had 2 losses in that time.
dp works away and according to last time he was home I guessed I was about 4 weeks. But because of my pcos I have really long cycles and irregular ovulation so I was sent for a scan to verify dates. At that first scan we saw nothing but they said my uterus was enlarged and thick like in early preg. My hcg levels were 320.
2 weeks later I had a second scan. At this one we saw a gestational sac and yolk sac, I thought I'd be about 6 weeks, but we saw no fetal pole and the sac only measured at 5 weeks. Hcg levels were 18000. I double checked my dates and that would add up with dp being home.
I had a third scan today, one week exactly after the last scan. Today we saw a hb!! It was only 96 beats and bub was measuring 5 weeks 4 days. This would mean at my first scan I would have only been 2 weeks at first scan and 4 weeks at 2nd scan when the hcg was 18000.
Please tell me this all seems normal, how far along where you when you saw a heartbeat, what rate was it at??
I am over the moon to have seen a hb I just cant shake the feeling something might be wrong. Does all this add up??? I have another scan booked for 3 weeks time. Maybe I just have a small baby??
If you've gotten this far then thank you for reading. I want to just be excited and happy but after all our heartache I'm finding it really hard to relax and not stress.

I had a scan at 5 weeks and they didn't find a heartbeat but said that was quite normal for that early. I had another scan at 7 weeks and the heartbeat was about 150.
I am now 8 months and bub is growing well 😊

I measured 5wks3 days at my first scan with this bub the HB was 99 but sonographer said they usually rescan if under 100 but she wasn't worried as she said the heart chambers most likely formed that morning. Hope it's the same for you

I was 5w 3d with a heart beat of 99bpm.... And I was told that was really lucky to see one that early and everything over 80bpm is considered normal.
Everything you have said sounds fine... I know it can be hard to shake the feeling but try to relax... Fingers crossed for perfect pregnancy!!!!

I've had two pregnancies where I had scans at just over 5 weeks. One we couldn't even see a fetal pole, she just turned 8 yrs old. The second we thought there might have been a pole, all the tech kept saying was its so small I can't say. She's now 3 months old.
To even see a heartbeat so early is pretty good! Congrats
