No way, don't give it to her. I have also lost my mother and no matter how long my dad is with someone else she will never be Nanna.

I wouldn't give her the mug... my mil has a partner and our kids don't call him anything only by his name... they don't call DP's step father anything either. Your baby your choice I say

I've decided I won't be giving her a mug for Christmas. Thanks for the advice everyone, I thought I was being petty but if I were to give her it wouldn't be sincere.
Also wherever my mum is I know she would understand either way but it just doesn't feel right.
