Glad to hear you got there safe and sound AMFM.
Food on our flights were ok. I didnt eat the salads and chose the cooked beef or chicken. Maybe try emailing the airline and see if you can request certain food. I am lucky cause I don't eat much. I had a gastric sleeve a couple of years ago, so my food intake is about a cup of food each meal. That's all that fits in my now little tummy.

I ate everything lol I already knew I was pregnant by the time I flew home, I flew on Cathay pacific and their food was pretty good, I wouldn't worry too much as the good is pretty much made the day you eat it, a lot of that stuff is mainly aimed at deli's where it could be put out for a few days, plus you will be relatively early, just stay away from seafood (fish is ok) and soft cheeses etc

Thank you ladies for all of the advice. I will try to get the mthfr test done.
AMFM - good luck! Call the airline and request a vegan meal. That way you'll avoid cheese and crappy meats. In my travels I have found that the asian vegan or asian vegetarian are very good. Usually rice and a stir fry of some sort.

Maxcat welcome the Czech Republic is an excellent choice and there are some wonderful clinics to choose from
Amfm I got a positive test 3 days after transfer but I had a 6 day transfer, so you could start testing 4 days after transfer, so Saturday, it depends on how many pg tests you've taken over lol, you usually have the blood test 9 days after transfer, so it's really up to you when you want to start testing but I wouldn't waste a test before Saturday unless you bought a lot of IC 's over with you. Regarding food, stay away from raw seafood and just make sure everything is cooked well especially chicken, no smoked fish/seafood or soft cheeses, street stall food is ok just make sure what ever you choose they make it up fresh for you, it's not sitting there pre made (eg like Chinese food sitting in plastic containers on a counter) you should be pretty fine as Europeans don't seem to eat as much processed food as we do, it's all fresh, we ate a tonne while over there (Greek trip) but lost weight as everything we ate was fresh

Oh and obviously no alcohol or coffee or limit yourself to 1 coffee a day, the Czech breweries do some lovely non alcoholic beers if you like beer and want to have on with your dinner, you can't tell the difference in flavor I was very surprised when I tried one I kept on looking at the label to make sure it didn't have any alcohol in it lol

Thanks @stacey10. The only issue after reading all of this is the egg donor. In SA you got huge options to choose from. Excessive "resume" like to read from about each and every donor, including their child photo. Not the adult one though to make sure identity is kept confidential. You can choose top 3 and then the agency will compare the donor adult photo to your adult photo to match it. (I know this after speaking to new mum who was willing to share the experience with me). But reading here, the choices are limited and given by clinic only. Is that correct?
Sorry, i just want to explore everything before making the final decision where yo go.

Maxkat yes all clinics are the same, donors are completely anonymous, for me that wasn't an issue but for some it is, I have children already and none look like me lol, but I trusted zlin and my co ordinator and I was detailed in what characteristics that were important to me and also sent photos over, for me, I preferred it this way as I think a third party can do a better job at matching because they're not emotionally involved
