It's that time of year when things can get us down or annoy us or we just feel low for some reason. I thought it would be nice to have a spot to unload and find a kindred spirit, support, empathy and compassion. There are so many lovely hubbers who can lift us up in our low moments. So if you need a little bit of support here's a place you can get it. And if you can give some support I'm sure it will be appreciated.
Lets keep this nice please.

I've had a lot of support here the last few days so it's only fair to share it around to others that might need it and don't want to start a thread about what's troubling them. Just my way of saying thank you.

I just found out my parents might be away this Christmas for the first time ever. It's also DS's first Christmas. I'm gutted.

Also, I did not take any of the sound advice given to @WiseOldOwl and promptly lost my sh!t at my Dad complete with hysterical sobbing.
(So we all know how I would've reacted in your situation, too!)

It's so cutting to be told so close to Christmas that your loved ones won't be there, isn't it! They were supposed to go to Melbourne after Christmas for a holiday but they could only get accommodation from the 22nd to the 27th. Mum doesn't want to go but Dad does because he doesn't want to miss out. They might go but they might not, it's all up in limbo and throws all of the Christmas plans (heck, we've already paid for Christmas dinner!) out of whack. I said, feel free to go away next Christmas just let us know in advance and I know Lewie won't remember this Christmas but I will and I'll have photos and it's just crap if they won't be here!
I just have to hope that Mum will talk Dad around.
