Default Quick costume ideas, please! (Circus theme)

    Roll up! Roll up!

    Help!

I need a costume idea for my work christmas party this week. Theme is "Circus".

Needs to be something relatively easy and quick to whip up in the next two days (may end up taking a day off work to do it, so time required to put it together should be no more than 6-18hrs).

Would rather an idea out of the ordinary (ie. no to clowns, ringleaders, lion/tamers, etc). Other people are already going in a group as a big top, bearded lady troupe, etc.

I *can* sew (to an extent), so don't mind whipping something up (I've made costumes previously for both DH and I).

    Come one, come all ideas!

So far my only ideas are:

    - Make a tunic/smock and cover it in lots of water balloons, to be that game where you pop them with darts (no, I won't be having real darts or pins - people will need yo hand pop if they want to!). I was even considering putting a tiny amount of water and coloured dye in some of them to create a myriad of colours after they've been popped.

    - Make a tunic/smock and make a removable section around my waist that has tubes/poles on it (ting toss game!). The tunic/smock will have a pocket in which I keep rings.

Black leotard (leggings if wanted), fake mo, fake weights and go as a strongman.

I had been originally thinking gypsy fortune teller (was thinking of having a cardboard box around me like Zoltar), but found out around 6-10 other people are going as gypsies as well. Sigh.

Great ideas, ladies! Keep them coming!

I'm still leaning towards the balloon dress idea... In a rainbow pattern and the balloons being filled with glitter, with a rainbow balloon headdress (so I'd be a walking balloon arch).
