Growing up it was 6 people and 1 toilet until we moved and then it was 6 with 3 toilets. In my house it's 3 (1 is only 15 months) with 1 toilet. Works fine. Would prefer another but not necessary.

We don't really need 2 toilets but the second is a tiny powder room and the other is in the two-way bathroom.

Sounds like our place, 2 adults, 2 children, we have a master and ensuite, so 2 bathroom/toilet. DD and I use the ensuite and DH and DS use the master. Not through any specific design , it just seemed to happen that way for some reason.

    4 people, 2 toilets.
However, 1 is down stairs in the kid's playroom and not readily accessible. For day to day we have 4 people and effectively have 1 toilet and a separate bathroom which is also very small. It's not ideal because the kids seem to wait until they are busting to go then carry on if the toilet is in use.

I've told DH that I don't want to be sharing a bathroom and toilet when the kids are teenagers.

    3 people.

1 bathroom with everything in it (toilet isn't separate).

Works fine. I thought it would be a pain, but it's not an issue for our little fam

    2 people and 1 baby.

We have a separate toilet and shower/bath and an ensuite with a shower and toilet.

Dp uses the main bathroom and toilet and I use the ensuite.
