Hello Ladies, your stories are amazing and inspirational! Can I ask the ladies who went to a Naturopath, what herbs were you told to take?

    Hi @Lizzy083

I ended up going to a naturopath after years of tests and appointments with fertility 'specialists' only to be told our results are normal. It was a last resort before going to IVF. Since stopping the pill and starting to TTC I had mid cycle spotting and lengthy periods, but was told it was all normal - I knew something wasn't quite right.

when I went to the naturopath, she knew exactly what the issue was and put me on herbal concoctions (she prescribed/made them) and I was on a strict gluten, dairy and sugar free diet to cleanse my entire system. there were three phases: cleansing the uterus and body, nurturing/preparing the body and ready for conception. My first period was bright red and short - just like it use to be before starting the pill! Once I was on the third stage - DH and I conceived first cycle.

The naturopath may be able to help with other fertility issues too - endo, PCOS, m/c.

Still early stages - who would have thought 2 lines would give so much hope!!

Hope that gives you some food for thought...

Thought I would give an update... four years of TTC, falling into the 'unexplained' category and being pressured to go down the IVF path (which I refused to do as my cycle wasn't normal i.e. brown spotting, not a nice red AF, etc)... I visited a naturopath 10 weeks ago. The naturopath actually listened to me and pin pointed exactly what my symptoms were - oestrogen dominance.

After taking herbs, eradicating the 'bad' oestrogen and following a strict diet - it is now our turn to show a photo of two beautiful lines!

4 weeks+5 days today So shocked that I took another test with ClearBlue the next day - same result! Very early stages - but it has given us some hope. Going for bloods on Tuesday.
    Omg that's fantastic congratulations sweetie!!!!!

I saw a lady in the Brisbane CBD - I can give you her contact details via PM? Qualified naturopaths are registered with an association such as ANTA or ANPA. You can look for a local naturopath on their website and find one that specialises in a particular field.
