    Default Laparoscopy

Not sure if I'm in the right part so sorry in advance....
I had a laparoscopy performed 9 days ago, and found I had moderate endo, which was attached to my bowel & rectum. They treated/ burned and cut.
I had very light bleeding/spotting for 48hrs post op, then a few days of nothing. Now I have had heavy bleeding for 4 days. Heavier than my period usually is. My period wasn't due for another 10 days when this bleeding commenced. Is this normal?? I have also been feeling quite unwell since the op, and haven't been able to eat much due to it giving me an upset stomach.

yeah I felt pretty awful after my first lap. Sometimes they can make you feel pretty crappy.

Have you talked to your Dr? when is your follow up appointment?

Yes lap surgery and treating the endo can interfere with your cycle. It gets back to normal fairly quickly though.

Did you get a number from the hospital for a ward nurse?

If it was me I would def be chatting to a doc.

My lap left me in pain, and my period was late and heavier than normal.

Best to check to be safe. It will put your mind at rest too.

Follow up appt is 8th Dec.
was debating whether to see GP or possibly local hospital? (Op was done in a private hospital 2hrs away)
It's just really out of character for my body to bleed so much & the feeling unwell part is driving me mental lol

I was pretty uncomfortable after my lap but didn't get severe bleeding like that. I'd call the office of the surgeon or see gp just to be sure. Hope you're feeling better soon.

I would go to the hospital. Feeling a bit sore is pretty normal but if you're feeling unwell then get checked just to be safe. Err on the side of caution.
