Must be a LOT of background... IMO a 3d scan pic on a Christmas card is a lovely idea.

everyone who received one thought it was not appropriate. everyone who saw it (but did not receive it) did not think it was appropriate.

there is a LOT of back story.

my sister just had a baby and was reviled at the idea of using a 3d scan image pasted onto the cover of a xmas card.

it seemed like an overly personal thing to put on a xmas greeting card. if they'd slipped a printout of it inside the card and sent it to the closest family, that seems a bit less in your face. it was this super cropped pic pasted onto the front and was sent to all and sundry. to each his own but everyone kind of felt like it was a really personal thing and it was a bit of an overshare.

Overshare would have been a pic of her vadge. I think it was a nice idea.

Sounds like a very sweet idea, to each their own I suppose.

MIL tried to tell me today that DD (our 4th child) looks like MY BROTHER!! She refuses to admit that any of our children might resemble me in the slightest. DS1 apparently looks like SIL. DS2 and DS3 were Daddy all over, and now DD doesn't look anything like me. She dislikes me so much that she can't bear the thought of any of her grandchildren sharing my looks.

Same here... I actually printed some and included with our Christmas cards. I was scared to post that earlier in case I'd done the wrong thing.

In my opinion.. It would be macabre if the baby was deceased maybe. Like if the scan was from the 12 week scan and then the mother lost the baby then they still included the scan pic after losing the child...

    Default SH!T my MIL says

MIL today commented on my weight (I've lost a bit) by saying "wow what's your secret" I responded that there's no secret, just a lot of hard work and dedication including healthy food and exercise. She replied "yes your jeans are looking loose at the back, it was either that, or I thought you might've bought a pair that were two sizes too big to make it look like you've lost weight when you hadn't".
