OK um a) its listeria lol, b) dp doesn't eat apples and c) 2 seconds on google showed that it was last year, in USA! She was offended when I pointed all this out though. Of course.

I know, right? She mentioned it at least 3 times so clearly not a typo. I hate when I correct people on medical stuff, don't wanna sound all high and mighty know it all... But ffs lady. Lol

Mine just left after staying for 2 nights... The good bye went like this...

Mil 'see you next time, not sure when that will be (she lives 12hrs drive away) she's beautiful (referring to my DD) you're doing a great job this time'

    Me 'ummm what??'

Mil 'oh no not that you didn't do a good job with your DS'

    Me... Stunned silence

So now I am left questioning what she thinks I didn't do right with DS (never mind her son is the other parent but sounds like it's all me) I honestly think it's to do with FFing & now BFing DD... She knows the struggles I went thru with DS! I'm also offended for DS, he's such a lovely little boy! Stunned!!!

    That's mean^^^

My mil is lovely but says strange things all the time... We are about to have our second child, another little girl. When we told her it's another girl she replied "oh you will have to have a third and try again for a boy". No congratulations till my dh said "No mum this is our last we are only having two". Then she said well as long as she's healthy.

It's hurtful, but I wanted to say listen lady, your son makes the gender, blame him! Hahaha

DS is sick and I texted mil to ask if she could babysit for the day as he couldn't go to daycare and I am super busy at work and couldn't really take today off.
    I get this charming reply

I have never ever asked her to babysit if I was at home I've only asked when on the odd occasion I desperately needed to work and usually she is happy to help out
