I have a funny one. My MIL had 7 kids, she always bangs on about how great she was for having 7 kids and how easy it was and always nags at how we are doing it all wrong and blah blah....
She wanted to have my 4 year old DD tomorrow on Christmas eve to look after her. We asked her if she also wants DS who is almost 2, she says no I wouldn't know what to do with him or be able to change his nappy or how to deal with his crying, and would have to ring us up after 5 minutes to come pick him up.
Umm but didn't you have 7 kids and were wonderful with them and know what to do in every kid situation.....? I came out with it to her as well as she alawys likes to remind us. She went pretty quiet and left for the front door. Haha...

We also have trees out the front of our house, the leaves fall all over the pathway quite regularly and a bush that can get quite out of control. Every time she comes over apparently the leaves and tree and bush are a huge contributing fact that my kids get ill. They have had gastro a few times lately along with us too. It's no other reason, every bug or illness we get is always because of the tree, leaves and bush.
I never hear the end of the tree and bush, it should be cut down right away.

Mine told me a few weeks ago to "get my **** together" in regards to TT ds1 (Just turned 3).
Well funny you should say that mil I don't have my **** together thanks for bringing that to my attention. I am struggling beyond belief with pnd and having 3 under 3 with a reflux baby. Thanks for your concern though, maybe if you spent more time around us you would give me a freaking break.

My MIL is quite good. the only thing that annoys me is that she insists that my 2yo calls her by her first name. it's probably my issue though!

Mil messaged me to ask what food she could prepare for 8 months old DS for Christmas. She told me she was planning on steaming some pumpkin. I told her that he usually has a mash vege mix with either rice, pasta or a meat through it. She informed me that there is enough carbs in vegetables with out adding pasta or rice!!! Ffs he is a baby who eats a tablespoon or two worth!
I asked this morning what she prepared and she has made his steamed pumpkin and broccoli mash and a pear puree. Great. Thanks for listening. I hope he eats it, I'm also glad I stashed backup food in his nappy bag.
Don't worry MIL, I'm only his mother.
