Default Christmas Presents for Daycare Teachers

My DD has 3 daycare teachers this year and another she adores who was her old teacher before she moved up. So that is 4 teachers to give gifts, it seems to be the done thing at our daycare to give the teachers presents and I'm more than happy to do this for 3 of them as I really appreciate the care and help they have given my DD.

Do you give a Christmas present for daycare/teachers etc and if so, what do you give?

My kids teachers this year are each getting a Christmas decoration from Oxfam and some homemade treats - some shortbread snowflake cookies and some salted caramel fudge.

I bought them all candles this year as my friend makes beautiful candles and she had a 50% off sale over the weekend so I bought a heap of coconut and lime and cranberry/mandarin ones. I always try to give hem nice gifts. They are looking after my favourite little girl and they get paid poorly

We're splashing out a bit I guess - thinking myer gift cards (prob $100 each) for his main 2 carers and a nice bottle of red for the director. We feel that our centre goes above and beyond to accommodate us though (it's occasional care and the director gave me her mobile so I can text her and ask if my DS can come in for the day) and his carers dote on him so much. It's also somewhat of a 'transient' clientele otherwise so I'm not sure how many parents will do something nice for them - so we want to. Think I'll make some salted caramel macarons to go with the gift cards too.

With a one year old I am totally embracing home made gifts or online shopping this year. No shops for me! On this website I have found called hardtofind.com.au I saw a little printed poster that says a great teacher inspires, builds confidence blah blah blah. It stood out to me as such a sweet gift. Maybe have a look for something like that. Xxx
