I don't mind the breathing and eating sounds too much but I remember reading a book about a man who went on a 10-day silent retreat.

By about half-way through, the sound of everything started getting to him. The sounds of people eating and the sound of a man next to him in meditation class - he said he got really angry and irritated because he felt like this man was purposefully breathing loudly to annoy him

People sneezing, especially when it's several in a row. I hate hayfever season listening to everyone sneeze and sniffle (myself excluded of course :P), it drives me bat**** insane!!!

We could never be friends... I have the worlds most sensitive nose and never sneeze just once. A minimum of five sneezes at once here. All year round! I once woke up DH's neighbour with my sneezing when he lived in a townhouse and the bedroom walls matched up.

Ugh, the animals licking themselves is a good one. I put the dogs outside if they start licking or scratching.

And I thought of another couple.
People flicking their toes together. My brother and dad do this, it's so annoying.
People rearranging themselves when sitting on a beanbag.

Brushing teeth. (Seeing someone brushing teeth, including me if I look in the mirror...makes me wretch).

Someone chomping on their fingers. Makes me want to take a knife to them.

I am experiencing one at the moment which is making me want to scream.

People constantly scraping a spoon around a cup to get the last dregs of froth from their coffee and then licking said spoon. Seriously? You're 40 , not 4. Most annoying sound in an open plan office.

People eating and slurping in the movies drives me to distraction, especially popcorn munching and hands going in the chip packets. Agh!
