Default What would you study now?

With the economic changing the way it is... Mining etc turning down not upwards really, my husbands work is never steady and he's a plumber!

I'm finding it hard to pick a career. I'm needing a helping hand ☺️

That's ironic bcoz I'm going to start a psychology degree next year!
You can do the same work as a SW in some jobs with a 3yr psych degree

I have a friend that works on social work with 2 years psych.

I've just finished first year OT (I hope - waiting for results atm), but I'm still pretty excited about becoming an occupational therapist.

@monnie24 do you have any idea of what field/industry you'd enjoy working in (or any fields you really don't want to work in?)

Also are you looking at something that requires a shorter length of study to get qualified (eg. TAFE) or are you happy to study something that takes a bit longer (eg. uni)?

I suppose it would depend a little on your personality type.

I'm an accountant- this type of industry works for me.

I can't imagine myself as a social worker or the like. I'm not very good at minding my tongue, and I'm not an overly social person. Sitting behind a desk working with numbers suits me.

I'm currently studying paramedic science but thinking of changing it to pathology.
