    Default Wedding dresses that are not wedding dresses! Like Zimmerman

    When I get married I am not doing the white dress from a wedding dress shop. I've been looking at Zimmerman and I love her formal dresses.
    Does anyone know of any other designers who do classic and beautiful dresses? Will spend up to $700.

    I got my dress from swish in Melbourne but I'm pretty sure they have an online store. Beautiful dresses and very reasonably priced, mine was about $250.

    Some of Alex Perry's ready to wear dresses come up at about $500. There are a couple of gorgeous white ones in the Varsity Collection.

    Have a look at the Lover site - they have amazing dresses - their White Collection in particular.

    I'm in WA and they were really helpful with sizings/returns with buying online as most of the collection is only available from their Sydney shop.

    Agree with a PP - Alex Perry also had some lovely ready to wear dresses.

    ETA: Charlie Brown also have a range of nice formal type dress in heaps of styles - you can pick heaps of different colours too. They are in David Jones.

    Carla Zampatti makes some nice dresses. Or what about a camilla kaftan, she has some more subtle patterns at the moment. I went to a beach wedding and the bride wore one and it looked stunning.

    ETA I just read you wanted 'classic' maybe a Camilla is a bad suggestion.
