All the terrible weddings I went to (just two) were terrible because the bride was so so so stressed.
    It impacted the whole reception.

Our wedding was brilliant, saved for it, organised it myself, wasn't stressed but...now I wish we eloped. I don't talk to half the people that went to our wedding I could have spent the money on an awesome overseas trip and then just had a fancy dinner with family when we got back. It wouldn't be for everyone but for me in hindsight, that's what I would do.

    Default Wedding regrets?

We spent a total of $5000
    Including rings and dresses
In a very small national park wedding
    Reception at my parents place

    No real regrets
Maybe a bit more added to my hair- like flower etc
Glad I wore my white wedges
Glad we spent $1800 for 3 hrs of photos

No regrets here - but I would suggest spending the money hiring a good photographer - photos are all that's left once the party ends and you really want to have good ones. Also make a photo 'role call' before the big day to give to the photographer so he/she knows what family shots need to be done. Made it easy for us as he would say, 'now siblings of the bride' 'both sets of grandparents' 'extended Smith family' etc
Also don't sweat the small stuff, things went wrong at our wedding but in the end, you're marrying the man of your dreams and the wedding is only the beginning!

I loved my photographer, but I would suggest making a list of photos you want and getting someone to be a marshal for the photographer. That way they can have the next group of people ready to go and saves the photographer from having to keep track of them all. Also, if you pick someone who knows all the family, you don't need to worry about missing people who didn't hear. My sil did it for us and it was fabulous!

Wish I made a list of photos I wanted with certain people, also wish we got my photos of ds who was 1 at the time. Dh who is not nervous but got nervous forgot to thank his step dad in his speech. Apart from that it was such an amazing day it went too fast. Best part was our first dance loved it.

I'm not usually one that likes to be in the spotlight either ( strange as I'm an extravert) but this reminded me of one more thing I wish I did. I wish I was a diva princess, everyone wanted to wait on me hand and foot but typical me wanted to do it myself. I wish I enjoyed the limelight more

you'll be fine. If you think about it, it's just like any other party/dinner. People dress a little better than usual that's it ;-)

What amazed me and what I wasn't expecting at all is all the love we received over our wedding. It was so overwhelming and in a good way.

Before getting married I always thought that it was just a day like any other and couldn't see the big fuss. But once I was living the day I realized how magical it is. To have all the people who love you and that you love around you celebrating your engagement... It blow us away, I kept crying happy tears and I'm not an emotional person.

I spent $1000 on my wedding and had only people that mattered.

Photos on beach, photos of dinner etc.

$60 dress, $100 cake roughly. My day was fantastic. No car no crap. (Not saying it's crap btw). I was going to spend HUGE amount then couldn't afford too. Then I had my small wedding and I think OMG mine seems better after all my bff had theirs.
