@McGBertie IVF is just not fair. It was your turn for a bfp. GL with your next stage.

Leyshoja.... big congrats on your BFP. All those HPT were pretty definite.

AFM... unfortunately it's another BFN. Hcg was 5. I've taken this one pretty hard, crying all the way home and all tonight. Haven't done that for quite a while. It was the last of my sister's 4 donor embies. To be honest, if it didn't work with her first DE then I don't know why I believed that it would work on any of the next three. And nothing else has worked - two cycles of acupuncture, five cycles of immune treatment with the strongest of the strongest drugs. And no-one can explain why not.
Oh Bertie, what a disappointment, this is just crap.

I agree 18 year old eggs could be another kettle of fish entirely. Perhaps try transferring a couple at once.. You haven't tried that yet. I read stuff last night about them working synergistically to enhance implantation.

Have you you looked into a surrogate ? I'd volunteer if I wasn't trying myself and having trouble anyways. You could advertise. Someone might be out there who could help.

also, you could look at California conceptions who are 13,000 I think for 3 goes with A grade blasts or your $ back with a normal uterus. 3 attempts under these circumstances might be a better option for you.

Take care. Sometimes the darkest hour of the night is just before the dawn.

I've got 6 close friends, one who had two kids at 33/36yrs old. One who is trying naturally at 31yrs old and the other 4 of us are 36+ and are ALL doing IVF I'm sorry to say. One friend had 4 great looking blasts tested and they were ALL abnormal. Absolutely terrible but at least it saved her time transferring them again and again. All anecdotal but yeah, 35+ yr old eggs.... I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.........

@MGC Bertie: Oh Luv I'm so very sorry to hear this (and not a happy f*king hug either!!...An unhappy, crying, comforting hug FFS!! Take note BH!!) I was so hoping this was going to be your "lucky last" frostie.

Please don't blame yourself Luv. I agree with @Bongley and @Butterfly39 that younger eggs may just do the trick for you I'm glad you're going to give it a go @Bongley and @Butterfly39 also give some good advice I reckon. I'd be going with a DET if it were me unless there's some medical reason why you can't??

California Conceptions might be worth looking into too. It's where Wazza recommends isn't it @Butterfly39?? So you know they're on the level just as the Clinics in SA or Greece where the other Girls on BH have gone.

Either way Luv, I wish you all the best wherever you go. I'll be there as always silently stalking you from the sidelines (with a cameo appearance every now and again) keeping and sending your wayxoxoxxo

I'm so sorry to hear that, I don't know what to say to make you feel better
Just take some time out, spoil yourself, and at least it sounds like you have a plan to move forward. It's such a hard thing to have to keep going through, just remember you have lots of support xx

Oh Bertie, I am so sorry to hear of your bfn Hun. I'm always hoping extra hard for fellow azoo girls too. You & your DH have been through so much, you just deserve a break. It's completely natural to feel devastated. It's such a heartbreaking journey & it sucks that it's so hard for you. Just let yourself feel what you're feeling & take some time out if need be. Ts good that you have a plan to go further with younger DEs. I agree with what others have said, 35 is still 35 & you may find a huge difference between the new, younger diner eggs. Sending many hugs & much love.

Donor age is definitely something the fertility specialists are emphasizing. My FS told me that he was speaking to an Argentinian doc at this years conference who said their cut off age for donors was 25. And they must have had 3 kids of their own by then (assumably to prove they had no fertility issues). The FS explained they could do this because it was a Catholic country and women married young.

@faithandhopellove Dear lord. The thought of getting married to and having three kids with any of the men I knew in my 20's terrifies me.

Hey gals just got the call and 5 out of the 7 fertilised which I'm happy with. *whew* was a bit worried as we normally get good fert rates but this time we tried PICSI.

Now to aim for an 8 cell on day 3 (sat). This is where things start going pear shaped.
