We don't generally.
We used to.
DH usually forgets the date and this year we were so busy we both forgot!

We don't do gifts but we like to steal a hour or 2 together.
We have done lots of things over the years.
My favorite ones have been a candle lit picnic on the side of the river and a picnic on the beach with a long moonlit walk after.
We also
gone to restaurants
Gone to the movies
Had a romantic dinner after the kids went to bed.
One year we had a night in a motel.

Usually something low key like having some nice take-away food, or sometimes going out to dinner.
This year we were apart as I was away at a conference.

We go to the same hotel in Olinda, we stayed on our Wedding night and try out all the rooms.
We love going there cause it is a really lovely touristy place in the mountains.
It's usually a big thing for us, because it's an excuse to be kid free sometimes for an entire weekend.
Every year I buy DH a really nice present, and every year he tries to surprise me somehow. Last year he got a limo to take me the Sky High Restaurant which outlooks all the way to city from the mountain. It's beautiful at night.

It will be our 3rd wedding anniversary in Jan, Mum and Dad are arriving the day before (and will baby sit) so we will go out for a nice meal locally. Last year we did the same. The year before we had no family here so went away for a couple of days and still went out for a nice meal with DS. We buy small pressies in line with which type of anniversary it is. Last year was cotton so I bought DH a golf towel and other golf accessories. He got me some pretty pj's.

We have pies! Haha
We were on a month long roadtrip / camping adventure and went for a drive to get anniversary lunch on our second anniversary. Ended up sitting outside a bakery eating pies. Third anniversary (this year) we had antenatal class after work so hubby cooked up some pies to eat on the way there. It wasn't until we were eating them we realized that it was the second year in a row we'd had them on our anniversary so we'll probably make that tradition. :-p

First year I was pregnant & we went for lunch at the winery where we got married, this year we left my sister with DD and went out for dinner at a nice restaurant. We haven't done gifts, though DH got me flowers for our first and meant to get me some again this year but forgot!

We don't do gifts and use the money to go to a hotel for the night instead.
