I asked in the last thread and was ignored so I'll ask again. What exactly do you think your children can 'catch' from shoes?

I would send her a text and wait for her to read it then point to the shoe rack. If that didn't work I would probably write a sign and parade around holding it till she got the message.

Apologies for you being ignored....Not sure... Don't have time to research either... But walking on pee ridden public toilet floors then on floors where my bubba crawls gives me the heebie jeebies!

My mum was the same when my little ones were starting to crawl. It drove me nuts. I used to bail her up at the door and straight out ask for her to take them off before she even had a chance to wear them inside.

That's a really good point. I know my grandparents need to sit down for shoes because they are getting old and stiff, not something I ever thought about because I have lots of chairs and a low table outside my door - all strategically placed by the kids to trip me over!

I dont think its about 'catching' something, its just a personal preference! As VP said, those public toilets that you avoid because theres pee everywhere? Its on the floor too. Gross!

In the long run its your home, and people should respect what you feel comfortable with inside it. Its not like your asking them to walk around naked!
