    Hey Ladies!

Just thought I would pop in and say good luck to you all! I was in your position 3 years ago, and it feels like it was just yesterday!

I finished my Nursing degree at Deakin University at the end of last year and am about to start my grad year First 6 months in Palliative Care and hopefully my second 6 will be in Theatre or Special Care Nursery!!!

    Default I hate waiting!!

    Hi girls,
so happy to find this thread!
i too am waiting on an offer, I have applied for dual degree in midwifery and nursing at ECU in Perth and have been told there are only 30 places 😮
I sat my stat and was reasonably happy with my score, I got a cumulative score of 157 which would have given me an ATAR of 87. So it's good, but I'm just so anxious that it's not good enough!! I think my offers go out on 16th so it's inching closer...I have the sole nursing degree as backup and am totally confident of getting a place in that but I really REALLY want the midwifery!

are we all going to be studying with littlies? I have a 5yr old and an almost 3 yr old and am so hoping it works out...

good luck to to you all xx

    Hi yourefunnymummy,
Congratulations on your STAT score and good luck with offers on the 16th. I'll be (hopefully) studying with 2 kids, a 7 month old and a 3 year old. I'll be doing part time for the first 2 years. The 7 month old has just started teething 😂, so a few wakeful night here.
I've also applied for straight nursing as second preference, so fingers crossed for first preferences for both of us!
    😊

    Hello and welcome yourefunnymummy!

I hope the 16th comes around quickly for you.

As for me I am studying with 3 children 5, 2 and 11 months old (she will be 1 in 3 weeks!). I was offered a spot in Midwifery in 2013 mid year intake, but found out I was pregnant so decided to defer. I started back at uni mid year this year, and I will be part time for the next couple of years.

As For Me: My youngest starts daycare tomorrow, I can not believe she is nearly one! I am also waiting on essay marks they are due to be released today, my stomach is in knots.

And the 16th and 17th are next week! Not long to wait now ladies

Congratulations to everyone who has an offer and good luck to those of us still waiting! I am a current B. Nursing student at USC but have applied for a transfer into the dual B. Mid/B. Nursing degree this year. I find out mid January if I was successful. I was full time semester 1 last year but deferred semester 2 to have my 5th baby in August. So will be going back to fulltime (just 3 subjects though) study in March with my kids aged 8, 6, 5, 2 and 7 months. Will be busy! But my husband will be dropping hours to help me. I've also applied for some scholarships, fingers crossed I get something.

My heart is in midwifery! I was a doula before I started uni and loved it, I just want to be there for mums and bubs like fantastic middies were there for me <3

Thanks Meredithgrey, I did apply for that one as well as scholarships and bursaries through USC, I find out the end of Jan if I was successful. Fingers crossed!

Even if you get the sole nursing, you can maybe transfer to the Mid after 1st year? Waiting is so tough! Good luck
