Default First baby - when did they engage?

Just wondering when your first bub engaged and arrived.
I'm 38+4 and she's still high feel like she's gonna stay in there forever!

Mine didn't engage till I went into labour! In fact my mum (ex midwife) felt my tummy about an hour before contractions started & said baby wasn't engaged not going anywhere soon - 8 hours later DD was here!
I have friends whose baby engaged a week or so before the birth so there is a whole spectrum of normal though 😋

Reassured me that it's normal that she hasn't engaged! Thank you

Was made to feel that it was very uncommon and not good that it hadn't happened yet.

Don't worry My first around 37 weeks and they fussed wow really deeply engaged blah blah etc still had a long long stop start labour, my SIL her baby wasn't until labour started and her baby only took 8 hours so don't worry if it's high it may not make a difference. If you have effective contractions you will open and baby will be pushed down. One of my babies were high and was out within 5 hours. G/L

Engaged at 34+6 and went into labour 38+3. Some say labour is 2-4 weeks away when bub engages...others disagree and as you can see plenty of bubs don't engage until labour starts! GL and hope the last few weeks of preg go smoothly !
