I was in the age bracket to get it when they first started doing it but I didn't get it as we were ttc at the time and I was advised that I couldn't fall pregnant for a certain amount of time. After discussing it with my gp we decided not to. But when my son is at the age to get it yes I will be getting him done.

Thays what I thought.... I was sure my DS had it last year but couldn't quite remember.

I've vaxed loads of people with the HPV vax. The only adverse event I've had reported is that it stings like buggery when it's injected.

None of the deaths were directly caused by the vaccine.

No, my daughter was not vaccinated for HPV. My sons will not be though I believe the trial period (for boys) is over next year I think so they may discontinue it on the schedule.

I don't think the issues with the vaccine (Gardisil in particular) have been appropriately addressed.

I think everyone should get it for the protection of themselves and others.

The prevention is much better then the cure.

How do you know they may take it off our schedule? I think Japan took it off their schedule last year but I have not heard that Australia will?

What sort of issues are you referring to?

I've had it but I'm a long way off my daughter getting it.

Elijah's mum - Something to do with HPV programs and screening that will commence in 2016. As far as I know it was a trial to include boys.

Women have reported serious side effects, even parents losing their daughters. Of course its officially a coincidence but I rather not believe in that.
