Default Period MIA after tubal ligation and d&c

Hi I had a tubal ligation and (routine) d&c- no pregnancy reason to have it, the gyno just does it after the surgery.

Well I had surgery on 2 July 14.
Now, I bled for the whole month of July and no period or bleed since.

I was told it could be because I haven't had hormonal contraception and it'll take a while for my periods to return.

Or i was told it could be post tubal ligation syndrome.

The only reason why I've been concerned is because I've put a tad bit of weight on and bloated as, I'm thinking it's because my body is trying to ramp up for a period but hasn't had one yet?

I've taken many pregnancy tests and all negative.

Anyway, has anyone had this happen?

I guess no one has been through similar? Oh well, I guess it's a wait and see thing for a while.

Well, It's now December and I still haven't had a period! I had my operation in July (2nd) and I bled from that day until the 20th July. Since then I've had nothing.

I'm wondering if it's now time to head back to the GP and ask for hormone tests and double check of the thyroid etc. Just in case something is going on. I've also been insanely stressed out and never off hormonal contraceptives unless trying to conceive so this is the longest time my body has gone with no chemical hormones...

I mean if this is normal, then I'm ok with it, but from what I've read... It's not quite typical, as you'd still get a period after both a tubal ligation and d and c. Scared of going back to the gynaecologist just in case he wants to do another d&c or lap to check out what's going on. He wasn't gentle and healing after the operation absolutely sucked!

    Just to update-

So, I think I've finally got my first period after D&C and TL!

Owch! After 5 months of not having it. It's kicking my butt. Been having massive headaches and stomach cramps and my whole body is aching

Relieved that I'm not going to need another lap or anything! Phew!!!

Had spotting for a fair few days. It eventuated into a period, different from the norm. Not as heavy as periods pre-TL! Slightly more painful though.
