yes - my contribution to @anewme 's christmas spam
I saw this on facebook today, and thought it was a great idea
Start a new tradition in your family! Wish I'd known about this when my kids were small. Wrap up twenty-five children's books (they don't have to be new books). Put them under the Christmas tree with a special blanket next to them. Before bed each evening, let your child choose one book to open and read together...until Christmas.
Feel free to share so all can enjoy!
I am so going to do this. DD LOVES unwrapping anything - even if she knows what it is, she wants me to wrap it up for her.

That's a lovely idea - I saw it in Pinterest this evening too.

I hope to do this too.
Maybe we could have an advent calendar thread & share what book was opened each day? A bit like the thread from July (?) where we read a book to our children everyday for a month.

Challenge could be to set up an advent calendar of activities (instead of chocolate) for December!

Love the book idea! We have sooo many books it's embarrassing and we still go to the library and borrow half of it too. Just as well we only have two kids cards at the moment and not all four signed up! Might wrap up some of the books at the top of their cupboard that never see the light of day as they're above my head and there's not enough room on their shelf to store them. Can't wait to move!!!
