    I think the fact it says no gifts 'required' is what's confusing things. If it just said no gifts please then it's very clear they mean no gifts, but the required sounds like 'don't feel obligated to bring one but you can if you want to'. In which case I would take one. It's all so complicated! I'm dreading when DD gets older and I have to sort through these social minefields.
