Hmmm, see I'm reading these and thinking maybe I was too quick to make my choice over my 1,457,920,482 other regrets. But it's cigs that sit with me most because a) you never get ANYTHING good from it and b) I will never ever be totally free of them, I don't think.
But yeah, now I think about it, there are some other close options...

I would have drunk less when I was young, so I could save more $$.... So I could have gone overseas when I was younger and drink there. I shacked up with DH when I was young and didn't get to go on a long trip until I was a bit older. It was good but not quite contiki material.

I don't know.. There are lots of little things, but I look at it that my experiences will help me navigate my children through the same or similar circumstances. I firmly believe the only mistakes are the ones you didn't learn anything from.

hmm, probably wouldn't have done my teaching degree. Would have thought long and hard about how to spend that time & money, and taken a different option.

Not buying my first house. We incurred a massive debt at its eventual sale and we are still renting nearly 4 years on instead of owning. We should have just saved from then and we could have had a bigger house in our preferred location.

Picking up my first cigarette
Letting myself put on so much weight, losing 25kgs then allowing myself to put it all back on
Having such little self respect in my teens and early 20s. Because of that there's s stack of experiences I'd prefer never happened.
I had more than one!

I wish a had bought a flat as soon as we got married, not a few years later. This is the biggest regret I have

There's little I regret, but yeah the fags would be one big one. 12 weeks smoke free and we've had a stressful couple of weeks. For the first time since giving up I'm craving them again. It's a terrible addiction and so very difficult to give up let alone give up forever.
