I'm mid 80s and in my high school (all girls, approx 150 in my year) there were about 8 Elizabeths, a number of Kate/Katherine's and a bunch of Sarah's. I would say they would be the most common.

    As for boys.. Matthew.

I was born in the 70s and went to school with lots of Jennifers (mostly called Jenny), Kylies and Kims. For boys Andrew, David and Chris were everywhere.

Early 80s vintage...I'd say Rebecca, Sarah, Amanda, Lisa and Michelle were big ones. Matthew, Michael for boys.
