So I went to the gp again and again he said to wait it out another month and come back and see him and then he will recommend someone too see??? I think it may be time for a new gp!!! I just want some piece of mind!!

You shouldn't need a referral to a speech pathologist. The speech pathology Australia website has a search function where you can look for someone who specializes in certain areas. We have been seeing someone for my DD's stutter for almost a year but we are south of Melb.
