hi everyone I'm new here and just starting my IVF journey and wanting some advice. We are at the stage where we are waiting for Period Day 1 so I can call and get all my meds and start sticking those needles in! This should be in about 9 days time. I'm with Genea in Canberra, has anyone used them before? I am going through IVF because Hubby has a low rate (20million). Doctor just did an Endo Scratch as apparently that is supposed to help the embryo stick. I am really hopeful of a good outcome but reading that there is only a 27% chance of success is bringing me down. I'd love to chat with other people who are going through the same thing for the first time.

Welcome to bubhub. Good luck with everything - it's a very big deal doing ivf.
We went through QFG Brisbane. We got pregnant first ivf.

Hi there! I also went through Genea canberra for my IVF procedures. They were fantastic!! My FS was dr Stephen Robson. I fell pregnant on my first IVF cycle but miscarried at 9 weeks. I then did a frozen cycle but got bfn. On my third cycle (2nd stim cycle) I fell pregnant and had my dd on 1st of july😀
My husband had a similar issue but there were also issues with me. Good luck and I have my fingers crossed for you 😀

Mona, I am also seeing Dr Stephen Robson! He is very nice and I am finding Genea really fantastic, the nurses are so lovely and the whole process so far has been hassle free and very informative. I am lucky in that there is nothing "wrong" with me, just Hubby with his sperm. But they have told us that they will be able to get enough good ones out of what he has so I am hoping for the best! I have around 9 days before my period day 1 which is when it will all "really" begin. It was great hearing of your (eventual) success and also you 'Best Things' it gives me hope!

Dr Robson is lovely. I remember the first appointment I had with him, I was crying because we desperately wanted to have a baby but it wasn't working for us and dr Robson said "I'll get you a baby, I promise". After the 2nd attempt I thought it would never happen and then bang 3rd time lucky!!!
It would be good to hear how you go 😀
